Harry was a boy in 19th century London who did not know his last name. He built a snowman with his friend Jim and witnessed the body of a woman fall out of it. He was targeted by Able Hecklington because the latter believed he knew too much about the murder of Felicity Gregson. Harry was saved by Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax, who paid the man he worked for (Mr. Ransit) in order to keep him in their custody. He was eventually offered a chance to work as a kitchen boy under Mary, a friend of Jenny's who worked for a lord in Lincoln. Alternately, Strax offered to recommend him to the Sontaran Greater Military Academy. (PROSE: Devil in the Smoke)
