The Resurrection device was a piece of alien technology that could at least temporarily bring people back from the dead, similar to the resurrection gauntlets. It was used by Vastra and Jenny Flint to heal Strax's wounds after the Battle of Demons Run. It was later used by Strax in an attempt to save Clara Oswald.
