One race of robots fighting another.
The Dalek-Movellan War was a galactic war fought between the cyborg Daleks and the android Movellans.
Historical overview
While both the Dalek Empire and the Movellans were expanding their forces to control the galaxy (presumebly Mutter's Spiral) they met and fought to destroy each other.
For years, the two sides had been locked in a long stale mate; each side's purely logical battle computers keeping them in deadlock. Hundreds of Dalek and Movellan battlecruisers flew across space, not a single shot being fired. To resolve this, the Daleks returned to their original homeworld of Skaro to search the ruins of the Kaled Dome to undercover Davros, who had presided over the creation of the Daleks, so he could re-program their computers. The Doctor, stumbling across this, defeated the Movellans, who had also landed on Skaro, the Daleks and the resurrected Davros. Davros was taken to Earth by Tyssan, a rescued Dalek slave worker, for trial. (DW: Destiny of the Daleks)
After the trial, Davros who was placed in a cryogenic freezer in a space station which served as his prison. (DW: Resurrection of the Daleks) Meanwhile, though it is unknown if the fleets remained in their stalemate, the war proceeded over the next ninety or so years. The Movellans developed a virus that could permeate the casing of Daleks and destroy them. There were so many Dalek casualties to such a point that Dalek Troopers were recruited to fight for the Dalek Empire. The Supreme Dalek ordered Davros be freed and recovered from a prison space station so that he could find a cure. (DW: Resurrection of the Daleks)
- During this time, the Daleks began using a different form of time travel; time corridors. They also used these to place duplicates to manipulate events for the Daleks' best interests.
Now revived and more filled with hate than ever, Davros turned one group of Daleks on the space station against each other. (DW: Resurrection of the Daleks)
- Widescale hostilities between the factions would lead to the Imperial-Renegade Dalek Civil War.
Other information
One account claims that the war did not actually happen. The Dalek Prime had contrived a hoax of a war with the Movellans (who the Daleks had created for the specific purpose of having an "enemy") as well as the civil war in order to make the Daleks appear weak so that they could strike back later.
