Green Park was a park in close proximity to Buckingham Palace in London. Dave Young and Anji Kapoor once visited it. They spent a romantic afternoon there noticing statuary in and around the park, like the Victoria Monument, which lay just outside the park's borders. They also took time too look at the park's memorial to Canadian service personnel who had fought alongside the British in World War I and II.
This reflection on monuments to the past made Anji wonder about how she would be remembered when she died, and to casually observe that all people had to die. Dave, who was killed soon after this visit to Green Park, was briefly disturbed by Anji's joking attitude toward death and ironically warned, "Neither of us is going to live forever." (PROSE: Hope)
