Martin was one of the cannibalistic Brynblaidd villagers. In 2007, he was wounded in the basement of a Brynblaidd pub and found by Captain Jack Harkness, who threatened to torture Martin unless he told him where Gwen Cooper, Owen Harper, Toshiko Sato and Ianto Jones were being kept prisoner.
