The Slitheen craft was a spacecraft used by the Slitheen. It has faster-than-light travel capability in the form of a slipstream engine.
It was the ship that crashed into Big Ben and the River Thames in 2006, the Slitheen using the crash as a diversion for their bigger plans, namely, their attempt to destroy Earth. To further the hoax of an alien invasion, the Slitheen genetically modified a pig into a biped and placed it aboard the craft as its "pilot." A bigger ship waited in orbit above the North Sea and was probably similar in design to the Slitheen craft. (TV: Aliens of London)
A Slitheen vessel was present at Stonehenge in the year 102 at the opening of the Pandorica. (TV: The Pandorica Opens)
There was another ship near Earth in 2008 while the Slitheen stole the Earth's power and the Sun. (TV: Revenge of the Slitheen)
It was later seen leaving Earth after the Moon almost collided with Earth. (TV: The Lost Boy)
Two of the Slitheen-Blathereen used a similar, less complex ship as a base in Antarctica during their plan to spread Rakweed across the Earth, which had a dining room where they ate Rakweed. The ship was left abandoned after the Blathereen were killed; it is unknown what happened to it afterwards, but it was likely confiscated by UNIT. (TV: The Gift)
In their plan to turn Justicia into a planet destroyer, the Blathereen used a huge Mothership, however it was destroyed by a solar flare. (PROSE: The Monsters Inside)
Behind the scenes
- A Slitheen craft appears in the online game Doctor In A Dash as one of three enemy ships, along with a Dalek Flying Saucer and a Judoon rocket, that race along with the Doctor's TARDIS (the player) to find a Space-Time Manipulator. Like the other enemy ships, the Slitheen craft can fire energy weapons to immobilise the other ships temporarily. Assuming the player completes the game, the Tenth Doctor claims the Space-Time Manipulator and destroys it to prevent it falling into the wrong hands.
- In the design plans for the Shadow Proclamation, there was a room that was supposedly contained criminal spaceships. One of these was a Slitheen craft. (Doctor Who: The Ultimate Monster Guide)
