Ann Talbot was an aristocratic young woman when the Doctor and his friends met her in 1925 England. She was engaged to George Cranleigh, but after his "death" she became the fiancée of his brother Lord Charles Cranleigh.
Ann was the spitting image of the Doctor's companion Nyssa. At a fancy dress ball at Cranleigh Hall, she and Nyssa wore the same costume in order to prank the other guests. (DW: Black Orchid)
