The Emperor Dalek's New Clothes was a bedtime story which the Eleventh Doctor claimed to have enjoyed in his childhood. (TV: Night Terrors)
Behind the scenes
- The story's title is a reference to the real world fairy tale, The Emperor's New Clothes.
- This story seems to contradict established narrative by suggesting that the First Doctor knew of the Daleks prior to his encounter with them in The Daleks (assuming that the Doctor isn't joking about the existence of the story, of course).
