Mervyn Haisman (15 March 1928-29 October 2010) and Henry Lincoln wrote the Doctor Who stories The Dominators (under the pseudonym Norman Ashby), The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear.

With Lincoln, he created the character of Brigadier (then Colonel) Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart.
