The Swiftsure was a barque captained by Frederick McIntyre. In 1829, the ship rescued the survivors of the Mermaid. Days later, the Swiftsure hit rocks and broke up. The entire crew, as well as the crew and passengers of the Mermaid, survived and were rescued by the Governor Ready. (PROSE: Of the Mermaid and Jupiter)
