Lucy Skinner assists her father at the [[Tycho Project]] near the village of [[Goblin's Copse]]. One night, she and her father were surveying data when [[Sontaran drone|strange lights]] interfere with the transmissions. Professor Skinner went to investigate, and was abtucted by Commander [[Kaagh]], the sole surviving member of the [[Tenth Sontaran Battle Fleet]]. Kaagh captures Lucy and implants her with a neural control mechanism, though it is left switched off for use as a back-up plan. She is released, unknowing about what she had experienced. She eventually makes her way back to the telescope, where she meets [[Sarah Jane Smith]], who was there to investigate the reports of lights in the sky.
 
Her dad returns and Lucy is really worried, but the control of a Sontaran. The Sontaran uses him to try to bring Earth's satallites crashing down on [[Earth]], but Sarah Jane and the team stop him. However, he takes control of Lucy and she restartes the plan, and Sarah Jane is unable to help or Maria will die. When Chrissie uses her high-heels to slam into the Sontaran's [[Probic vent]], Sarah Jane frees Lucy and her dad and they go free, with the Sontaran stopped.
