In 1630, the Second Doctor visited the Det-Sen Monastery in Tibet when it was attacked by bandits. To prevent it falling into the bandits' hands, the monastery's holy Ghanta was entrusted to the Doctor, who returned it in 1935. (TV: The Abominable Snowmen)
