Sir Robert Muir was Chief Constable and friend of the Cranleighs.
At Cranleigh Hall he spoke of the Master, also called the other Doctor. This confused the Doctor, but it turned out that Muir spoke of the cricketer W.G. Grace and not the Doctor's adversary.
