Use
- The Doctor carried a pair of opera glasses in his pocket, he utilised them to see his first glimpses of the Dalek City on Skaro. (DW: The Daleks).
- The Master often utilised a pair of glasses as part of a disguise, such as his disguise as Reverend Magister whilst in Devil's End. (DW: The Dæmons).
- The Doctor typically wore a pair of glasses in times of great stress, especially following his regeneration (DW: Castrovalva).
- The Doctor utilised a pair of glasses to seemingly enhance his hypnotism ability. (DW: Silver Nemesis)
- The Doctor wore a pair of tortoise-shell rimmed square glasses, usually when he was concentrating on a particular object or subject. (DW: Tooth and Claw et al). He would utilised a pair of 3D glasses when observing the effects of the Void and its effect on other people and objects. (DW: Doomsday)
It is interesting to note that in Time Crash that the Tenth Doctor said that the Fifth Doctor did not need glasses, he would wear them to make him look smarter.
