So what do all of you think? Do you agree with any of the above? Do you have a new theory? Or are you not bothered with who he is and are just glad that Tom Baker came back for the 50th? Spoilers for the 50th ahead!

So, as anyone who saw the 50th anniversary will know, Tom Baker made a surprise cameo playing... Well, playing someone. This thread is for speculation on who that person was. Here are some of the best theories going around:

  • He is a very-far-into-the-future incarnation of The Doctor.
  • He is The Watcher, from "Logopolis".
  • He is The Moment.
  • He is a Zygon (Four was the first to encounter them).
  • He is just a character who happens to look like Four.
  • He isn't really there, kind of like the ending of "An Adventure in Space and Time".
  • Another Time Lord, who goes quite literally by the name of "The Curator".
  • It's not important, just something to please the fans (not really a theory on who he is, but many have taken this view).

So what do all of you think? Do you agree with any of the above? Do you have a new theory? Or are you not bothered with who he is and are just glad that Tom Baker came back for the 50th? 87.102.91.126talk to me 18:29, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
