The Arch-Mayoress of England was a dictatorial position held in 2034 under whose rule Christmas, the trimmings, decorations and presents were all banned and collected up for destruction by the 'Scrooge 3000' machine. The machine, housed in the town hall of a English town, was voice activated by the Arch-Mayoress who instigated the policy because of her hatred of surprises. (COMIC: Decky the Halls)
