She fled and made an alliance with Commander [[Kaagh]]. The pair set out to find the last piece of [[Horath]] before the Bane agents who already posessed the first half did. Mrs Wormwood kidnapped [[Gita Chandra]] in her Florist to draw Sarah Janes attention and ask for her help in stopping the banes invasion. They are then attacked by Bane agents but Mrs Wormwood stops them and rescues Sarah Jane. She takes her back to the house and lets her explain why she needs their help. Sarah Jane then has her imprisoned inside a cell whilst she and [[Rani Chandra|Rani]] are away. Eventually Luke takes pity on his 'mother' and goes up to speak with her. Suddenly Bane agents attack the house on all sides and with her sonic modulator weapon drained of power Mrs Wormwood surrenders. However suddenly the Bane advancing on her is shot dead from behind by Commander Kaagh. The pair greet and Wormwood asks if he has obtained the second half of Horath.
