The truth assessment (AUDIO: The Five Companions) was the Dalek form of lie-detector. It involved the individual placing their hands on spherical sensors and the Daleks questioning them.

"Statement: You are working against the Daleks. True or false?"

Several of the Doctor's companions underwent the truth assessment, including Romana II, (TV: Destiny of the Daleks) Nyssa, (AUDIO: The Five Companions) and Amy. (COMIC: The Only Good Dalek)
