Time Lord science will restore Dalek supremacy!
The Genesis Ark was a Time Lord prison ship used during the Last Great Time War to hold millions of Daleks due to it being, like a TARDIS, dimensionally transcendental. The Cult of Skaro stole the Genesis Ark and, using a void ship, fled the universe into the Void.
- The Doctor did not know the Genesis Ark's name, and therefore it is a possibility that the ark was named by the Cult of Skaro.
The only way for the Genesis Ark to be activated was to be touched by a time traveller, thereby transmitting temporal energy to the ark. Incapable of touch, no Dalek could open the ark. When Mickey Smith touched it by accident in battle, the ark opened, releasing millions of Daleks who proceeded to join the Battle of Canary Wharf against humans and Cybus Cybermen. (DW: Doomsday)
- When the Doctor returned to the Void all elements that had touched the Void, the Genesis Ark would also have been sent in, although the Genesis Ark is not specifically shown to enter.
- Shada, a Time Lord prison of a more conventional sort, also contained at least one Dalek prisoner, in suspended animation.
