Father of Sarah Jane Smith died on the day of the Foxgrove village fete on the 18th August 1951 when Sarah Jane was 3 months old. He and his wife Barbara Smith drove off in their car leaving their baby behind in the pram. Sarah Jane and Luke her son travelled from 2009 to meet him and Sarah Jane decided to save him by deactivating his car so he would not be able to escape. When she returned to her time she discovered that London had been destroyed. He was the brother of Lavinia Smith. (SJA: The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith)
