Dr. Kendrick was a scientist in the employ of John Lumic, who assited in the creation of one of the first prototype for Lumic's Cybermen. He was killed by the Cyberman on Lumic's orders, when he offered the opinion that the Geneva should first give permission for this new life form to exist. (DW: Rise of the Cybermen)
