Ilijah was a lizard species used by the Boor to extort money.
Biology
They were black lizards that fed on humanoids and killed them when they hatched from them. They came from a planet just of animals and were genetically re-engineered to become more violent, but this reduced their lifespan. They could fertilise their own eggs and squirted them at victims which would host them. When hatched they would rip their way out of the host's body, normally through the neck.
