The Shakespeare Code is an episode of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It will be broadcast in Spring 2007. The story will feature the wrath of three witches, with Shakespeare having to save the day by giving the "performance of his life". It is rumoured that hidden in his plays, there is a code that the Doctor must work out in order to save humanity.

[edit] Trivia Spoiler warning: This section may contain details of episodes and/or events which have yet to be broadcast. Scenes for this episode were filmed in Coventry,[1][2] Warwick[3] and at the recreated Globe Theatre in London.[4] The title appears to be a play on The Da Vinci Code, which is also a story based around a well-known figure of the Renaissance.
