India Fisher initially played Peril in Winter for the Adept alongside her friend Liz Sutherland. She later returned to play Charlotte Pollard, companion to the Eighth Doctor as played by Paul McGann, becoming the first actor cast as a recurring companion of a current Doctor since Sophie Aldred took the role of Ace in 1987.

Personal life

Fisher is the daughter of former British politician Mark Fisher. Her stepbrother is musician Crispin Hunt and her stepsister is Francesca Hunt, with whom she appeared in Other Lives.

On 4th December 2013, "a matter of days after" recording Charlotte Pollard Series 1, Fisher gave birth to her son Aneurin (Nye) Harrison.[1]
