The Battle of Reykjavik was fought in Iceland in the early 51st century at the outset of World War VI. The Filipino Army advanced on Reykjavik and overthrew the Supreme Alliance of Eastern States. The Alliance's Minister of Justice, Magnus Greel, fled to 19th century China using an experimental time cabinet created by Dr. Sa Yy Findecker. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)

One of the first four incarnations of the Doctor marched with the Filipino Army during the battle. He was able to bring the brief Sixth World War to a close using information provided by the Fifth Doctor. (AUDIO: The Butcher of Brisbane)

Behind the scenes

In the novelisation of Talons, the battle is described as "an army of [the Supreme Alliance's] victims had risen against them, crushing them at the terrible battle of Reykjavik".
