We do know that the Nerva Beacon existed long before it was converted into a space ark, but I don't actually recall "6087" being given as the exact year of launch. Admittedly, Wirrn Isle says that The Ark in Space happened in 16087, and the colonists were frozen for "several thousand years" past their 5000-year aim, but even the "10,000" (mentioned only twice in Ark) is given as an approximation.
