Colonel Orson Pink was a human pioneer of time travel from the 22nd century. He was a relative of Danny Pink, and implied great-grandson of Clara Oswald. The first experimental trip brought him to the end of the universe, where he got stuck until the Twelfth Doctor and Clara found him thanks to the telepathic circuits of the Doctor's TARDIS. (TV: Listen)
Behind the scenes
- Due to recycling props, the spacesuit Orson wears is identical to those from the 42nd century Sanctuary Base 6 (TV: The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit), one of which was kept by the Doctor and worn on several later occasions. (TV: The Waters of Mars, Hide) There is even a shot during the episode where the 'SB6' patch on the suit is clearly seen.
