The Vortex Code was a comic strip printed in the 2010 Doctor Who Annual and featuring the Tenth Doctor.
Summary
After rescuing a robot from the crash of a Starfire cruiser, the Tenth Doctor joins forces with it to prevent a group of pirates from obtaining the coveted Vortex Code coordinates.

- Technically, the robot (dubbed Servitor by the Doctor) takes on a one-off companion role similar to that of Christina de Souza and others during the post-Journey's End era.
