A Redcoat was most likely a fictional character in the Land of Fiction. Upon arriving in the land, Jamie McCrimmon was searching for the Second Doctor and Zoe in the forest of words when he encountered the Redcoat. Before Jamie could attack the Redcaot, the Redcoat fired his gun and Jamie turned into a cardboard cut out. This then led to the Doctor having to reconstruct Jamie's face, which he'd do wrong, causing Jamie to get a different face.

Later, when reaching to a house through cobwebs, Jamie again encountered the Redcoat. Again, before Jamie could attack the Redcoat, the Redcoat fired his gun and Jamie again turned into a cardboard cut out. This time, however, the Doctor managed to reconstruct Jamie's face back to how it originally was.
