The Bane Mother was the mother of all the Bane that landed on Earth, in effect the leader. The Bane mother didn't disguise as a human, but instead was concealed in the ceiling of the Bubble Shock! factory, also providing the ingredients for Bubble Shock!.
The Mother ate the children that failed her. She was also very sensitive to cell phone signals and was pained by them. The Mother was destroyed by Luke Smith when he used a super-liminal phone that called out to another planet. (SJA: Invasion of the Bane)
