Spoilers are strongly policed here.
If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.

Why isn't the Eleventh Doctor page accessable from the 'Doctors' dropdown menu on the main page?--Rotwang's Son 23:36, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

well, because someone didn't add him, either on purpose or by accident. --Stardizzy2 00:51, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
I think it's because the page is more or less still blank. We know that Matt Smith is playing him, but we really don't know anything else about the character. The article is still a stub, and essentially out of universe.
I think it's best to leave the Eleventh Doctor page off the list until there is something on the page about the character itself. Just one users opinion, though.--TheOmnius 01:02, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
I don't mind adding it to the menu, but would anyone be against protecting it against IP edits (non-registered users), just in case we get a flood of users adding speculation to the article which would be in easy reach? --Tangerineduel 12:32, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
I think it should be protected from IP edits, but not added to the dropdown list until he actually appears onscreen. Taccer 07 13:57, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
So far there hasn't really been any large edits that would motivate protecting the article, I only mentioned it because putting it in the menu would put it more in the public's eye and therefore open to vandalism. --Tangerineduel 14:29, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Why wait? As there's no material that can really go up there, there's no need for IP users, or even most of us, to be able to edit it - at least for now.
It occurred to me that pages we put on the front page like that are essentially featured pages. The ones we link to on every page like that should be shining examples - or at least have information beyond the announced actor. Why take a chance on driving new visitors away or give them the impression that we've done less on the site than we actually have?--TheOmnius 16:57, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
