Questionable statement

however Davros himself was originally physically healthy and un-deformed. (DW: Genesis of the Daleks) I just finished watching Genesis of the Daleks -- all 6 episodes straight through. There was no mention of anything like this. If this statement is accurate, it's not from this episode. --Grimholtz 03:48, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

It is established in the Big Finish audio dramas: Terror Firma and I, Davros, the Genesis of the Daleks novelisation and possibly other stories that Davros was originally un-deformed but had some sort of accident which left him deformed and confined to a wheelchair. --Bill Odie 17:55, 3 December (UTC)
the bit about the accident has now gotten firmly accepted into canon. RTD considered having a flashback to this in one of the recent stories. (I actually think that Davros looks more like a mutant rather than a scarred guy in a wheelchair, so I agree with you.) --Stardizzy2 19:35, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Dalek appearance without him

Hi I was just wondering...After Davros was introduced in the whoniverse, does it exist any tv-story where the Daleks are the primary antagonists and Davros does not appear in? I am not counting anything from the ninth doctor and onwards, and the movie where the eight doctor appears in. and also not stories like The Five Doctors where they only appear briefly and does not have anything significant to do with the bigger plot. If it exists any, can you please post the name of the stories here? --213.89.174.35 18:53, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

not on television, no. at least until the new series. --Stardizzy2 19:35, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

To my knowledge since davros's introduction the Daleks havn't appeared (On Televison) bar the new series without him Dark Lord Xander 02:18, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Actually Davros only first appeared in Genesis of the Daleks, a Fourth Doctor story. The first three incarnations had met Daleks without Davros several times. See here. MrSiriusBlack 07:47, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Not counting tiny apperances like The Five Doctors, all of the Daleks' television appearances from 1975-1988 have involved Davros. -- Tybort (talk page) 08:20, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Single Davros Image

I believe that the Davros page should only have one image of him in the fact box at the top of the page. As technically each appearance he has made has been in the same body, the multiphoto of him with different actors would give the impression of multiple bodies. A single photo would be more effective at representing Davros as a continuous chracter (obviously pics from other serials make sense within the article itself). I would also suggest that his current Jullian Bleach incarnation be shown as a screenshot from TSE/J'sE (as opposed to publicity photos) as that is his current definitive appearance. --Taccer 07 19:08, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I myself am not worried about the image but if you want to use a screenshot from season 4 i have no objection to that --Dark Lord Xander 06:19, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Per Taccer, I think that having the latest Davros appearence in the infobox, rather than that collage, would give the article a more polished appearence. Since this is a featured article, having just one pic in the infobox, along with some minour alignment adjustments of the other images, would clean it up a bit more. At this point, mainly from my tenure on Wookieepedia and drawing from the layouts of their featured articles, Davros is looking a bit cluttered. =/ Trak Nar Ramble on 06:44, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
    • I'm glad to see the image changed but wondering if thats the best one. I think a slightly more neutral, full-body (and chair) image would be better. Taccer 07 21:29, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Davros' status post series 5?

There's a statement in the section about the new series that suggests Davros was restored in the Big Bang - but there's absolutely no evidence to support this whatever. It's clear the Cracks in Time still happened, and the Doctor closed them to prevent further damage. Amy then restores her parents, Rory and the Doctor to the timelines with her memory. There's absolutely no suggestion that other things erased by the Cracks in Time are also restored. 82.34.0.239 14:12, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

  • Actually, yes it is. The Doctor said that if he flew the Pandorica into the heart of the TARDIS then the explosion would be undone and the universe would return to the way it was before the explosion, ie no cracks. --The Thirteenth Doctor 14:56, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

  • The cracks do not have any thing to do with Davros. The Meta-Crisis Doctor destroyed the Crucible which killed Davros. The cracks just caused it all to never have happened, but when the Doctor restored everything, it still happened. Therefore everything went back to normal and Davros is dead. -- Gryffindor1991 12:00am, October 14, 2010 (EST)
  • Well we don't know for sure if Davros is dead, but yes Thirteenth and Gryffindor are correct. It doesn't pertain to him, but all events pre-series 5 were restored when the Doctor flew the Pandorica into the explosion. Meganerd18 07:12, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
