Galacton was the third planet in a star system with a red sun. The densely forested planet attracted the attention of the rapacious Daleks during the Last Great Time War. They drilled into the planet's core to release molten rock. This was energised by the Dalek Attack Squad Leader trapped in one of the bore holes as an energy source for the Dalek fleet. The planet was ripped apart. Not much was known about the red-eyed creatures, seemingly composed of the very ground itself, who offered formidable resistance to the Daleks, at one point forcing an evacuation.
