Superstring taffeta was an artificial material. It was constructed by running a thread through the universe's substratum, creating something which was one part taffeta and nine parts baseline reality. Carmodi Litian told Fitz Kreiner it could be used to wallpaper over a black hole. Tent City and The Book of the Still were made out of superstring taffeta. (PROSE: The Book of the Still)
