Prelude Conundrum was, as the name suggested, a prelude to Conundrum by Steve Lyons. It did not appear in the published novel.
Summary
On Christmas Eve in Arandale, police sergeant Malcolm Blyth encounters Dr Who, recently arrived with his grandchildren John and Gillian, and is informed that almost everyone in the village has been kidnapped by Vogans and replaced with robot doubles.
