Recce

A recce is a part of the pre-production process which involves key members of staff visiting sites to determine their suitability for location filming. The term is an adaptation of the chiefly military term, reconnoitre.

Two recces were recorded on the documentary, Designs on Doctor Who — one led by Julian Luxton for Torchwood and the other by Ed Thomas for Doctor Who.
