Felix was an ex-slave who managed a wine shop in Rome for his patron. He tried to keep out of local politics as he felt it was too dangerous.
When the Fifth Doctor visited the wine shop, Felix was alarmed to see the Doctor in conversation with Thrasyllus, an astrologer who was close to Tiberius. Against his will, Felix became involved in the events in which an alien, pretending to be a Roman, intended to alter Earth's history. After the Doctor defeated the alien, Felix took in the street urchin who had helped the Doctor. (PROSE: Rome)
