Josh was a boy from the dreamworld of the Nightmare Man.
Luke Smith dreamed about Josh. In the dreamworld, Josh completely replaced Luke. Sarah Jane showed him Mr Smith. When Luke called Sarah Jane from Oxford, she wasn't interested in Luke anymore.
