Pa Clanton was a rancher and the father of Ike, Phineas and Billy Clanton. He ordered his sons to hire Johnny Ringo to help in their conflicts with Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday.
In Tombstone, Arizona in October 1881, he supported his sons in their plans to fight Earp and Holliday, despite being warned by the First Doctor that Earp was ready for them. (TV: The Gunfighters)
