Surnat Gaq was a "brave" Sontaran warrior. When the Sontarans were unable to deploy the world engine weapon the Warsong during the Fifty-first Star Fall Campaign, Surnat was mortally wounded by the Rutans and escaped with the Warsong to primitive Earth, where it lay dormant and undetected.
