It was her birthday the day Oswin got converted into a Dalek however she created a dream for herself so she didn't have to face the truth. Exactly a year later, in her dream she made a souffle for her however she burnt it. This birthday was also the day that Oswin met the Doctor, Amy, and Rory and the day she realised she was a Dalek.
