The Chinese Puzzle Box was a work of art by Giuseppe di Cattivo that he created after having been driven insane by The Abomination. It was the key used to unlock and release the creature inside the painting.
It was presented as '"Mystery Chinese Puzzle" in the International Gallery.
When the Mona Lisa came to life, Lionel Harding destroyed the Puzzle Box in an attempt to stop her.
However, Clyde Langer was forced to recreate a new Puzzle Box using his eidetic memory and the strange power that made 2-D paintings manifest into 3-D reality. This new Puzzle Box was used to awaken the Abomination, but Clyde retaliated by drawing a picture of K9 Mark IV and bringing it to life, which erased the Abomination and turned all paintings made real back to their original forms.
