Continuity: the story titles should be italicised. (The way to work out references from continuity is. References are in-universe and if there's a lot of them organised under category headings (see...Alien Bodies for an example), continuity is out of universe.)

External Links: The external links website title is too long and non-specific. The web link should make reference to the site's name it's linking to, with brief explanation. The The Millennium Blag page I edited slightly, so now it reads 'Doctor Who - Battles in Time official website, with trading cards details', less wordy, still all the information, it also doesn't need a full stop at the end, it's a weblink in a list (even if it's the only one there, it's still bullet pointed.

Books

Glad you were able to work that out. Do let me know if I accidentally orphan any images, though! I've been doing a bit of work on the general books listings. Some of my major work included more strongly establishing the origins of the three Muller novelisations, correcting where possible anything that indicated they were Target originals and uploading Muller edition covers. I also created a series of articles on the Sarah Jane Adventures novelisations and I also created articles on Decalogs 4 and 5 to complete that set. I switched around some Target images if I found earlier editions either in my own collection or online. I think all first-edition Targets are now accounted for in the infoboxes. I haven't put all the information up on the Pinnacle Books, yet. I've also integrated release dates (per the book articles and the On Target website) into the chronology lists. To paraphrase the Dalek movies; Every move you make I see, every sound you utter I hear...(sounds a lot less creepy in the 60s Dalek voices with the lights flashing not in sync with the voices). I'm always around here. I didn't notice, but have just seen (re Lee Sullivan). As far as promotions category wise it would probably go in Category:Doctor Who merchandise, probably in a subcategory or two. If there are a lot of promotional give aways for each (the Weetabix, chips, cereal etc) then each should be in a separate category. So maybe (within the DW merchandise category) it can be Category:Doctor Who promotional items, then within that category; Category:Weetabix Doctor Who promotions and so on. BBC Books cover variants

Earlier today I discovered that the Series 1-2 soundtrack CD has had to be reissued with a new cover featuring Tennant without Billie Piper. I asked about it at the DW Forum discussion board and apparently an issue has arisen regarding the licensing of Billie Piper's image for Who merchandise. (I wonder if it has to do with her current TV role as a call girl?) Apparently the BBC Books that she appeared on have been, or may soon be, or may sometime in the future be, reprinted with new covers showing only Tennant (and perhaps Eccleston?) solo. I haven't seen any of these variants myself, but I thought I would give you a heads up. 23skidoo 19:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

• Sorry I haven't been in touch but I got logged off again and as I've mentioned to the admin, it's very difficult for some reason for me to log back in so I was actually editing as an IP for the last couple weeks. Regarding the BBC hardbacks, I saw some reference on the Doctor Who Forum that they were being reprinted in some countries in paperback - possibly Australia - so that might be what they're talking about regarding removing Billie's image. So far it's only been the soundtrack cover that I've seen changed. Have you heard if there are any plans to publish a collection of Battles in Time? We don't get that at all in Canada. Image problem on one page

Hi. When you have a moment, could you please check The Revenge of the Cybermen (novelisation)? For some reason the main infobox book cover image isn't showing up but I can't seem to find any indication that the format or file name has been messed up or anything. Everything should work but the image isn't showing up. I checked other Target book pages and they seem fine. I spent part of the weekend doing some tweaking on many of the Target novelisation pages, but I don't think I did anything that should have messed up the image here. • It must have been a glitch. Anyway, I'm in the process of adjusting release dates for some of the books -- I realized that none of them were taking into account the hardcover editions which often predated the paperbacks by months (in a number of cases actually changing the year of origin for the books). I've changed the infoboxes accordingly and will next tweak the main Target novelisation list and the years articles to make sure everything is correct. 23skidoo 14:52, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Doctor Who Power Rollers

On first glance I thought these might be a photoshop mockup! We really are in odd times of Doctor Who Merchandising! What the hell are 'Doctor Who Power Rollers'? It seems to live up to the 'slap a Doctor Who logo on it and they'll buy anything' mentality (or am I just being A) Cynical or B) not understanding the concept?) Or both. And a Happy New Year to you. Aren't Frubes the yogurt...things. Doctor Who branded yogurt...things. It's no worse than Dalek Ice Rays and other food related Doctor Who things. Don't worry about the BIT things, however I have made it easier, no typing involved anymore just select 'Doctor Who: Battles in Time magazines and cards' from the licensing selector when you're at the upload section, just scroll down it's under magazines. Character Options

Thanks for giving me the heads up (and thanks for comments on Black Sheep, mostly it just took me ages going back through the old forums looking for author quotes). For the most part I try to have keep a good over view and get involved with things I know about personally. The Darksmith Legacy

The eagerness is there, which is definitely something I enjoy seeing, but you need to refine your article style a bit. Your changes on The Dust of Ages were fantastic and definitely layed a lot of the ground work, but you need to make sure the spelling and grammar are correct and the proper usage of bold and italics are used.

For example, bold should be used very rarely, mainly for the first words of an article, stating what it's about, e.g. "The Dust of Ages is the first book in The Darksmith Legacy." Using it all over the page in regards emphasis looks a little messy. If emphasis must be used, italics is more accepted. But obviously this wikia is intended to be factual and objective, so personal emphasis is not advised.

In regards to linking to other TARDIS Wikia pages, only the first instance of the word should be linked per section. So for example a story was about Sontarans, the Plot Summary section would start "Earth was attacked by the Sontarans. The Sontarans were after a place to make new clones." Notice only the first mention of Sontarans is linked. But then when you get on to the Continuity section you can then go "Sontarans previously attacked Earth in DW: The Sontaran Stratagem."

In regards specifically to The Darksmith Legacy articles in particular, the Contents, Interactive Website Content and Notes sections need to be rethought. The former two are pretty unnecessary as they bring nothing to the article, any extra information the online content gives should be included in the main article or the relevant article elsewhere. Also giving the online content passwords goes against Wikipedia's policy on giving out various pieces of information. (As they could be accused of being passwords to the website, I'm not sure how the BBC would react to them being out in the public domain like this.) I'm not sure Wikia's policy on the issue, but I imagine it's the same. Even if they are allowed, I'm not sure the passwords are entirely necessary, and make the page look a bit messy.

I like that you're expanding the articles that link from the pages on the books. Doing that is something I'm guilty of forgetting to do. Even if you just put the basic framework in, it means the article exists and it can start to be integrated into the wider Wikia. However, make sure for things like planets you include the Planetary Body infobox and for characters the Character infobox etc. It makes it easier for people to expand from as they know exactly what they're dealing with.

Umm... one last thing, the prefix for The Darksmith Legacy stories is TDL for The Darksmith Legacy and not TDA for Tenth Doctor Adventures. It's a separate range published slightly differently so they are different entities in regard this Wikia. Plus it's nice to give such a potentially overlooked series its own identity!

Re Darksmith and Captain Jack Harkness

I've had a look in at the Darksmith stories. They're looking okay, though I do have some thoughts as I go through editing The Graves of Mordane;

• The next/previous stories within the infoboxes don't need to be italicised.

• I'm not sure about the necessity of the 'story synopsis'. Looking at it on The Dust of Ages and The Graves of Mordane page it reads more like a summary, a long one at that. A synopsis should be a short summary of the major points of the story.

• Page layout; it should be consistent with other book ranges; Publisher's Summary, (If it really needs it) a Synopsis, Characters, References, Notes, Continuity, External Links. Though other elements can be added in if need be. (Footnotes etc). I've rearranged some things under the Notes section, rather than within it's own section.

• Character added info shouldn't be added after a hyphen, but rather as an indented bullet point. (It makes for a cleaner layout).

• There seems to be an over use of <br>. A BR will add a break where for reasons of formatting you might need (such as in an infobox, or with more complicated formatting), but as you should be able to see on The Graves of Mordane I've removed all the BRs and maintained the layout of the page.

• Continuity shouldn't have any brackets around the prefixes.

• Throughout the synopsis there is too much wikification of character names etc, once during the synopsis is fine enough. They can be wikified again in the characters section and if use your discretion in the references section.
• Characters' titles or ranks shouldn't be within the wiki, so unless 'Captain Gomez' is the character's name (like the Doctor etc) it should be [[Gomez|Captain Gomez]].

• Other minor things, if you're referring to the Doctor's TARDIS then it should either state that (once) or [[The Doctor's TARDIS|TARDIS]]. I'm generally very wary of more than one exclamaition point in an article (as it fails completely in my view to seem encyclopaedic). When adding dates (anywhere) make sure it's written as 29th January rather than 29 January.

I may have repeated myself from previous conversations (sorry if I have), I wrote the above as I went through and edited the Graves of Mordane. Feel free to reply/ask any further questions. --Tangerineduel 14:29, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Captain Jack Harkness / TV story

• Doug86 is correct. Character pages don't start with titles. 'Captain Jack Harkness' is the title of the TV story, and as the disambig shows there are a few different characters with the name. It might not look logical on first glance, but there needs to be a consistency to the article naming and structure thoughout the wiki. --Tangerineduel 14:29, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
