Off side

In cricket the off side was, according to a study the Fifth Doctor once made Turlough complete, "the side of the wicket in front of the batsman nearer to his bat than to his body." It contrasted with the leg side, which was the side of wicket behind the batsman nearer to his body than the bat. (AUDIO: Phantasmagoria)
