Vershinin was a Russian soldier, Second in Command, and is first seen off the coast of Northumberland in a dinghies with a Russian Commando Unit lead by Captain Sorin. It is nearing the end of the Second World War. Vershinin's unit arrives at Maiden's Point, where they meet Commander Millington who wants them to steal the core of the Ultima Machine. Vershinin was amongst the soldiers who surrounded Ace and the Doctor after they were found by the body of another Russian soldier. After an attack from the sea by a group of Haemovores, a desperate Millington shot Vershinin, whom survived by the hand of Captain Bates, Vershinin then shot and killed Millington.
