Professor Malcolm Taylor is one of the UNIT's scientific advisors. He is Welsh and has read all the files on the Doctor. He aided in the help of sealing the wormhole but refused to close the hole until the Doctor was out, even when held at gunpoint by Captain Erisa Magambo. When the Doctor came back through, Malcolm sucsessfully closed the wormhole and Magambo put down her gun. Outside his trailer he met the Doctor for the first time and he was exstatic to meet him.
