A space station is a form of spacecraft which is constructed for 'standing' in space, it usually has no (or very little) means of propulsion.

Space stations sometimes fall under different names such as Nerva Beacon, however the design and function of the beacon is still that of a space station. (DW: Revenge of the Cybermen)
