Anya was a pilgrim from Nixyce II. She watched her homeworld be invaded by the Daleks and intended to take her revenge by dealing a blow to the Daleks. She travelled to the Eye of Orion where she had heard of a Dalek weapons creation facility. She met the Eighth Doctor there and revealed to him that she intended to destroy the planet. The bomb she had was implanted between her lungs. Liv Chenka punched her, rendering her unconscious, and the Doctor used teleportation technology to remove the bomb from her body.
