The Great Vampires are colossal [[humanoid]]s with grey skin and wings. Like the other [[vampire]]s, the Great Vampire require [[blood]] to survive, but due to their large size they need a lot more. Great Vampire are extremely tough and powerful and one could suck a whole [[planet]]'s inhabitants dry. They have ability to absorb energy, such as from weapons and are able to survive repeated wounds. The only way to kill one is to stab them through the heart, usually with a iron stake.  
The Yssgaroths and their universe were discovered by the [[Time Lord]]s in one of [[Rassilon]]'s early attempts to create a [[black hole]]. Instead of creating a [[black hole]], they accidentally punched a hole through space into the [[Yssgaroth's Universe|Yssgaroth's universe]]. The Yssgaroth escaped and caused mass destruction. The [[Time Lord]]s, led by [[Kopyion Liall a Mahajetsu]], tried to stop them, leading to the thousand year Eternal War. Though they were able to push the Yssgaroths back to their own universe, billions of people were killed and whole star systems were destroyed. The Great Vampires suddenly appeared in the universe, causing mass destruction and chaos. The [[Time Lord]]s hunted these creatures down in a long and bloody war, using [[bowship]]s to pierce their hearts. Though the [[Time Lord]]s won, it was at a great loss, and even then the leader escaped into [[E-Space]]. After time, the records of this war were lost and passed into legend. The Yssgaroths and their universe were discovered by the Time Lords in one of Rassilon's early attempts to create a black hole. Instead of creating a black hole, they accidentally punched a hole through space into the Yssgaroth's universe. The Yssgaroth escaped and caused mass destruction.
