Published in 1964, ''The Dalek Book'' was one of the first spin-off books based upon ''Doctor Who''. Co-written by [[Daleks]] creator [[Terry Nation]] and series writer [[David Whitaker]], the book contained information on the Daleks, and the ''[[Dr. Who and the Daleks]]'' film, as well as original stories and comic strips, a Dalek dictionary, and stories featuring [[Mark Seven]] and the SSS (characters created for a never-produced Daleks spin-off series. Also included was a photo insert relating to the movie.

Co-written by Daleks creator Terry Nation and series writer David Whitaker, the book contained information on the Daleks, as well as original stories and comic strips, a Dalek dictionary, and a photo story about Susan Foreman meeting the Daleks, featuring images from the 1963-64 serial The Daleks.

Follow-up Dalek Annuals from Souvenir Press Ltd, The Dalek World and The Dalek Outer Space Book, were published in 1965 and 1966.
